So, it is official. I'm going to the Art Institute of San Diego <3 ^^ So happy. I am deeply sorry for the lack of artwork in the past few months, =/ my main inspiration is gone and so I have to rely on something else for the moment. I am trying to get my Halloween Costume (which is awesome) to be photographed, but alas, my camera is getting too old for my taste anymore =( sad, really.

Anywho
I've just watched the end to Demon Lord Dante
And I'm ready to give my criticism about it.
First off, the anime started off slow, too slow, and it ended in a big rush. I swear, putting a storyline into thirteen episodes was not the best idea for them. Although, the story was the most original I've seen in a while. Suuuper religious, Christianity to be exact. You would expect that a religious anime would make the Demon Lord the evil one? no no no. It does seem more like a satanic anime in a religious definition. Satin is the hero and God is the destroyer... Buuut, the storyline was the ONLY good thing about this anime, with a couple of exceptions. The script was either too confusing or too obvious for the point to reach out to the audience. Most of the time, it was obvious. Characters often repeated lines over and over again or made it seem like they never knew about it even after a character talking to them explained it just a minute ago. And the artwork... it was sooo iffy. Character designs were average (if you were wondering, there was not really a 'true' bishi >> Fangirls...) Possibly Dante (demon form and human form), Medusa, Satin, Sayori, Adam and Eve, and God's Soldier were the best drawn out of all of them. A good amount to keep me from losing my attention. Especially since the attention grabber was HORRIBLE. The beginning brought no storyline whatsoever. It explained things, but it was slow beyond belief and characters usually forgot that a demon just came through Tokyo and destroyed half of the town. I would rant more, but there is a lot of spoilers in my rant ^^" I would give it a 3 1/2 stars. It's good to find on the internet, not meant to buy.

Oh, and my now second favorite anime: Revolutionary Girl Utena! So far, nothing truly horrible about it! I really suggest watching it or even buying it. Although, I won't give any info about it until I watched all the episodes.

  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: Pick a Musical
  • Reading: The Canterbury Tales
  • Watching: Revolutionary Girl Utena
  • Playing: Final Fantasy XII
  • Eating: Candy Corn
  • Drinking: Home-made Orange Juice.
